Jessie Clark is one of the longest working birth photographers in the Portland, Oregon region and is now based on the South Coast. With over 12 years of experience in birth work and more than a decade documenting births, Jessie provides doula support and photography for maternity, birth and newborn sessions.

Her work has been internationally published and she was named Photographer of the Year by LooksLikeFilm in 2018. She has also been voted Multnomah County Best Photographer four years in a row from 2020 through 2023.

Supporting families and documenting babies in their earthside transition is an incredibly honoring experience. Every birth is different. Each story unfolds in its own way and the images captured bring families back to that moment again and again. The strength, the emotion and the connection are always present no matter how many births have been witnessed.

Jessie does this work to empower families and women, to support informed decisions and to hold space during one of life’s most vulnerable and transformative experiences. Her approach is calm, supportive and intuitive, allowing each birth to be documented honestly as it happens. The result is timeless imagery that reflects not just what birth looked like but how it truly felt.
